Review: ELF Shimmering Facial Whip

My first ever E.L.F online order was about a year ago; when I purchased the Shimmering Facial Whips in Persimmon, a warm coral-pink, and Pink Lemonade, a cooler, more silvery pink. About 3 months ago I also purchased Lilac Petal which is a light, lavender colour and, according to Temptalia.com, a dupe for Benefit's High Beam, although a thicker consistency and slightly more pink. There are 7 shades available, all for £1.50 apiece on eyeslipsface.co.uk. As a teenager I have naturally acne-prone skin and my blemishes concentrate in no particular area. My skin is also sensitive to un-natural ingredients such as fragrances. The reason i'm telling you this is because the whole line of Facial Whips has a 'sugar orange' scent which may or may not have caused the little red bumps on my cheeks, i'm not sure, so if you have similar skin to mine (sensitive, blemish-prone, combination-dry) then maybe test it out before buying more than one.

Persimmon, Lilac Petal, Pink Lemonade

All this being said, I really do like them. The coloured ones are fantastic to use as cheek tints in summer when you want your skin to look more glowy, and I ALWAYS use lilac petal when going to parties as I prefer cream highlighters to powder highlighters; I feel they create more dimension to the face. Although described as 'shimmering', the effect on my face is more of a glow or sheen and there is no really visible 'shimmer' on the skin. I would highly reccomend the products, for £1.50 you can't really go wrong!

Thank you for reading my first blog post, what's your favourite E.L.F product? :)
